Which diet works?Weight loss solutions have become a minefield. Do we cut carbs or fat? Do we fast or not? Depending on which research you read they all tend to somehow disprove each others theories. Regardless of the confusion, I believe most of us know what a healthy diet looks like and I also believe that chocolate and cake has a place on everyone’s plate. Just maybe not every day!
There is no point dieting in the short term. This only leads to gaining the weight back on in the future and more. We need a healthy relationship with food and find out why we are consuming too much. Maybe its the wrong foods, maybe its just portion size or maybe a combination of both. Ultimately we should not spend our lives obsessing over food or feel guilty about it.
Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food ~ HippocratesIn a world that favours supermodels and body builders, it’s not hard to feel bad about ourselves. I tend to think very differently. In my mind it’s about health. To me, our bodies are unique and special. Without them, we are nothing. They deserve to be loved and looked after the same way you would a child or a friend. That doesn’t mean starving yourself and punishing your body in the gym every day. It means being mindful of how we treat our bodies and how we feed them. I want you to no longer see food as a comfort or something to do when bored or stressed but see food as a fuel for energy.
Hypnotherapy can help to understand how we think and why we think as we do. Once we change the thoughts we can change the pattern of behaviour. You can eat the right foods, at the right times, in the right amounts.
