What are the main causes of anxiety?
We all experience some form of anxiety at some point in our day to day living. This condition can be caused by various factors such as panic (ISE), stress, drugs, personal relationships, financial loss, bereavement, medical illnesses & medication side effects.

Is it anxiety?
Common signs and symptoms of anxiety include;
-nervousness, restlessness, tension, trembling, profuse sweating, exhaustion, panic, increased heart rate, feeling the need to flee and repeatedly avoiding social situations, among others. If left untreated, anxiety can have terrible consequences in our lives such as depression, heart disorders, and gastrointestinal issues and others.
What is an initial sensitising event (ISE)?
In some cases of anxiety there was a trigger incident. A first panic caused by a specific event. We refer to this as an ISE. Your subconscious quickly learns that this ISE is a danger to you and will work diligently to avoid it. The great news is, once we identify the ISE we can work to change the perception and impact that event has had on you.
While there are numerous ways of combating anxiety, one the most effective techniques of all is hypnotherapy. An anxious mind is a tired mind and lends very well to the relaxation brought on by hypnosis. The therapy includes identifying your triggers and working through each one until you are no longer anxious.
